I used to think that it was okay to dim my light because of the people that I dated. I would put a cap on my greatness because deep down, I knew I was settling. And at the time, I was okay with it. I was comfortable there. It took me getting my heart broken by someone unworthy of me in the first place to really recognize my worth. And now I let my light shine. I allow the illumination to scare off the ones not meant for me. Because I deserve a love that sets my soul on fire. A lover who sees my value and praises me for it. A lover who loves me for all that I am.
